Michael Wuerger
Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance
Mesa Air Group, Inc.
Michael Wuerger started his career at Mesa Air Group in January 2005 as a First Officer on the Canadair
Regional Jet (CRJ). In 2006, he joined the Training Department as a CRJ systems instructor and was later
promoted to the position of Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance. His flying career started in the
German Air Force where he attended the prestigious Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot training program. He received
his Bachelors Science in aeronautical engineering technology from Arizona State University (ASU) in 1999,
graduating summa cum laude,. Michael is also currently a FAA Designated Pilot Examiner and teaches the
capstone class at ASU for the Aeronautical Management Technology Degree Program.
